I study survival analysis, cure models, and machine learning, with a focus on statistical methods for censored time-to-event data.
I am a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Texas at Arlington, working under the supervision of Dr. Suvra Pal.

My research develops and evaluates cure models for survival data, combining statistical methodology with flexible machine learning approaches. I use EM algorithms, Monte Carlo simulation, and biomedical data analysis to study estimation and prediction.
I investigate machine learning methods for the incidence component of promotion time cure models. This work compares regression, splines, support vector machines, decision trees, random forests, neural networks, and gradient boosting.
Evaluation focuses on cure-probability estimation, survival estimation, and predictive discrimination through simulation studies and real-data analysis.
I study EM-based estimation for promotion time cure models when event times are observed within intervals. Ongoing extensions address mixed-case censoring, including left-censored, interval-censored, right-censored, and exact event-time observations.
I am also exploring parametric and semiparametric approaches to the latency distribution.
At KNUST, I compared support vector machine and long short-term memory models for forecasting Ghana’s exchange rate.

Supported undergraduate statistics and data analysis courses, assisted with research projects, and developed and graded assessment materials.
Teaching Statistical Thinking Workshop, Curry College; Preparing to Teach Statistics and Data Science Workshop, Boston.
My training brings together statistical theory, computational research, and teaching. I work in R and Python and use high-performance computing for large simulation studies.
